How we work

Assessing the tree
Before climbing we look at the tree from the ground: trunk, branch unions, deadwood. If it is not fit to be climbed safely, we say so and change our approach.
Work plan
We set the anchor points, the lowering lines and where the material will be stacked, and agree with you how to protect the lawn and fences.
Rope work
The arborist climbs with ropes and a harness and makes the cuts from inside the crown; on the ground a second arborist manages the lowering.
Clean-up and advice
We take away the branches, tidy the garden and let you know what work we recommend for the years ahead.

No: Verde Vercelli's arborists climb with ropes and a harness and bring no heavy machinery into the garden, so lawns, paths and kerbs are not marked. On the ground we still protect the surfaces where material is lowered.

Verde Vercelli carries out routine tree pruning during dormancy, between autumn and late winter. Safety work on unstable branches, on the other hand, is done at any time of year.
